An emergency call column is an outdoor or facility-based intercom device used for immediate communication between a person and a dispatcher, security service or emergency response service. These devices are used to create assistance call points in open areas, industrial facilities, transport infrastructure, parks, campuses, restricted-access sites and socially significant public facilities. Emergency call columns allow users to quickly send an alarm signal, establish voice communication and, where supported by the specific configuration, transmit video from the incident location. The integrated HD video camera allows the dispatcher to visually assess the situation in the call area, improve response accuracy and, when necessary, forward information to responsible services. The solutions can be integrated with dispatch centers, facility security systems, the 112 emergency system and the Antiterror system, provided that the relevant design and technical infrastructure is available.
